Sean “Diddy” Combs executive produced Burna Boy’s forthcoming album Twice As Tall.

In an interview with The New York Times, the Nigerian recording artist spoke about the LP, which is set to be released on Aug. 13.

“I’ve never picked up a pen and paper and written down a song in my life,” he said. “It all just comes, like someone is standing there and telling me what to say.

It’s all according to the spirits. Some of us are put on this earth to do what we do.”

For his new LP, Burna Boy said that he is “continuing the mission I started, which is building a bridge that leads every Black person in the world to come together, and to make you understand that without you having a home base, you can’t be as strong as you are.

Most of the album was recorded during the pandemic.

Making it Work

Burna Boy and Diddy managed to collaborate over an eight-hour time difference via file transfers and Zoom calls.

Diddy was able to create voice-over intros for some of the tracks and added musical and contributions from artists such as Anderson .Paak and Timbaland.

“I’m on record that I like hit records. If they’re not hit records, I don’t like them,” Diddy said.

“A lot of times when an artist wants to be coached or pushed to maybe a greater level, that’s where I’ve come in.”

He continued, “He, as every artist, he wants his music to be heard by the world. He doesn’t care about crossing over. You know, he’s not trying to get hot.

He’s not, like, ‘I want to be a big pop star’ — he’s already a star. He wants his music to be heard, his message, his people.”

the LP is “a modern but pure, unapologetic African body of work.”

Almost 80 percent of the album was completed before Diddy was brought in to provide “fresh ears” to the project.

The mega-producer says the LP is “a modern but pure, unapologetic African body of work.”

“The thing that I learned about him is the importance of what he’s doing for his nation and representing the people that aren’t really heard globally,” he said.

“Through this album, I think it’s important for Africa to be heard. And so it’s bigger than just an album. He’s not just on a musical artist trip. He’s a revolutionary. His conviction is serious.”

Make sure you check out Twice As Tall on all streaming platforms on Aug. 13.

As reported by Tamantha Gunn

Stand Together is a beautiful piece done by African artists from all over Africa talking about the fight against Covid 19! Our very own King Kong features alongside the likes of 2 Baba, Yemi Alade ,Teni,Prodigio, Betty G,Ahmed Sultan and many more, and they nailed it! He sang in french which is not a bad thing given that we bilingual. ( just wondering out loud tho, a lil English wouldn’t hurt!)! Watch and enjoy!

He is popularly known as Sparx the Virus but name way him mama givam na Ambebih Goodwill Che! Only from name eske I need for tok site way e comot! Ok ok for those who don’t know ,na Bafut pikin.

You can’t talk about rap music in the mid 90’s and not mention Sparx The Virus! Dude appeared and took over Buea like a pandemic!

I no want call yi a relic, lol but he has been in the game as far back as I can remember! He wanted to be heard, it wasn’t easy he decided to lay low, take a moment and observe how things are done properly to get better results.

Plus music is a whole investment, one he couldn’t afford, why he went into bizness so he could handle his bizness lol! Smart hardworking n talented! I hate viruses but I kinda like this one(don’t judge!).

The SEEKA

Later on this super talented dude started a movement known as SEEKA… sort of a means to solve the identity crises.
We love titles a lot and we keep giving ourselves names that might give us a standing in society/community. But sometimes these names change as we grow, cuz life does too, and we seek new names, new identities.

But there’s one thing common with everyone of us…SEEKING.
No matter who you are or what you are up to or up against, you seek something in life, one thing or the other. Every finish life is the beginning of a new race. So we never stop seeking…till we die.

He has worked with the likes of Ridimz on SABI,Dr Kapt, Pope Switzeal,Brino, Witty and more. He was the reason many young rappers today from Buea got into music! He is a Legend!
With his looks ,guess he could make a fine actor!show host,or volleyball star! He is eloquent and an athlete! Yassss! Ladies hold ur horses! He’s taken, sorry!

After all is said and done his driving force is God and this makes him worthy of being part of the League of Xtraordinary Gentlemen!
Let us put our hands together as we welcome Sparx The Virus ( roars and cheers from the crowd)

Check out this piece! I have a special memory attached to this! If u love good music ,u should definitely check this out!

Over

Hello to our KCPtv viewers/readers.
Today we brings to you one of Cameroons Multi-Talented entertainment entrepreneur LANGMIA RANDY JOMIA who is an Artist/Comedian/Fashion Designer.

The Beginning

Langmia Randy Jomia is a cool guy we came across recently in Dla, Bonaberi. He is an afro pop singer and a creative comedian. Musically he is known as RAINY by fans and for his comedy they address him as BEANS MANAGER.

Rainy/Beans Manager was born on the 12 of july 1995 with the creativity aspect but he never engaged in developing his talent at his tender age as many will say.
In an interview with Rainy/Beans Manager,
These were his exact words 👇👇

I started showbiz in 2016 with the influence of friends who surrounded me cause it was still a hidden talent, that same year i made my first ever release titled ‘Take It’ an afro jam in which i used to do shows in snack Bars, to promote the talent .

The Journey

But later on realising how money was the main subject in music industry, I had to put a pause to my music career but still couldnt live the showbiz family. so i started comedy in 2017 with the HD Comedy house since it required little finance in order to function.

In my search for finances to run my music career, i ended up owning Fashion Star, 2 shops called Rainy Shopping Plaza located at Gare routier and Foret bas.

In 2019 I took my first ever award at the BAA(Beri Arts Award) as the best Comedian in bonaberi and still in 2019 am coming back fully in to the music industry with my first release for 2019 ‘Your Eyes’ its a slow love song still in the afro vibe.

I will be performing at Hotel Belavie on the 25th of August at Belavie Hotel and Spa at the ONE MIC event alongside many other great artists.
Am calling on all my fans, friends, family, love ones and supporters to join me on that day as from 3pm let’s have a quality time.

My Music is my driving force
Thou am new, I have my own challenges and I keep working towards perfection.
I wish to share the new song with you all.
